Direct answer: When a document contains material governed by two independent audience restrictions, the permitted combined audience must satisfy both. Apply expiry at the actual release time after calculating that intersection.
A practical verification workflow
- List the allowed audience for each source separately. Keep source-specific permissions visible rather than merging the lists into one broad circulation group.
- Calculate the intersection for a combined document. A team allowed by only one source cannot be assumed eligible for the other source’s material.
- Apply expiration and other time conditions at the planned release timestamp. An audience member in the initial intersection may no longer be eligible later.
- Evaluate urgent override messages through the declared approval process. Urgency does not create an authenticated source-owner authorization by itself.
A separate worked illustration
In a separate fictional exercise, source A permits Red and Blue, while source B permits Blue and Green. Blue is initially the common audience. If Blue’s permission expires before release, the earlier intersection no longer authorizes the planned circulation. The combined content requires a fresh qualifying decision or a different permitted output.
The common reasoning error
A union answers who can see at least one source; an intersection answers who can see both together. Confusing those questions is a common release-review error.
Keep an auditable analyst note
Record the question, source identifier, original observation, conversion or calculation, and the narrow conclusion it supports. Separate a confirmed fact from an inference and from information that is still unknown. Keep the original timestamp or unit alongside any normalized value so another reader can reproduce the reasoning.

Operation Release Intersection: Find the Authorized Audience applies this skill in a fictional evidence packet with five graded objectives. This guide explains the method, not the hidden answer key. Questions readers ask
Does one source approval authorize the entire combined document?
Not when another included source has a separate restriction.
Do these training labels describe real classified information?
No. The related case uses invented labels and contains no real restricted material.
